What settings do I use for filming videos on my Canon Powershot SD1200?

I want to make some YouTube videos but whenever I record them on my camera and play them back (on my camera), there is no sound. How do I fix that? Will the sound just show up once I put it on the computer, or do I need to adjust some settings? Please answer only if you have/had a Canon Powershot ELPH. Thanks so much!

First things first. You shouldn’t be playing videos on your camera. It was not intended to be a storage device or a viewer. Your card can easily fail. Get your videos off that card and onto your computer quickly. Then format the card in the camera. Also, if I were you, I’d add a couple of cards to your gadget bag. You never know when one is going to fail.

Second, no small camera that I know if is equipped with a speaker – so no sound. Only high end point and shoot cameras, the Fuji 9000 and up, which I own, have speakers. You can only hear your audio on your computer.
