i have a canon powershot A710 IS.
it has a "1 cm .4 in macro" on it.... and when i take a picture with the macro, it doesn't look any different on the screen than it would otherwise...

I am looking for rechargable batteries for my digital camera and they range in price from .00 to .00. I have no idea what specifics to look for or what this "mah" means. Wrong battery polarity in Canon S5 Digital Camera, HARM?-?

Does anyone know for sure, as opposed to guess, if you put in the correct batteries in the wrong polarity for a Canon S5, all 4 AA will the camera work, or will it work and just be damaged.

Anyone with knowledge and not a guess, this is a costly error I think.
